Vocational Education and Training Research Forum 2009
Minister for Tertiary Education Hon Anne Tolley opens the 2009 Vocational Education and Training Research Forum held in Wellington on 22-23 April. In her speech the Minister announced an extension to the support available to trainnees who lose their jobs as a result of the current recession. More than 200 people attended the conference. Launch of Communications and Media ITO - April 2009
Stacey Wood (The Dominion Post) Debrin Woodcroft (The Aucklander) and Kiri Gillespie (Gisborne Herald) with Associate Minister for Tertiary Education Hon Dr Wayne Mapp. The three journalists are the first to enrol on the new journalism workplace training qualification launched at a Parliamentary function to mark the dawn of the new Communications and Media Industry Training Organisation CMITO.
Officials Day Out - November 2008
Officials from five government departments took the opportunity to find out more about how industry training works at the grassroots by visiting three workplaces and a PTE including Grenada's Metro GlassTech which works with the Joinery and Glass ITO.
