Standards Writer - FITEC - Auckland
Closing date: Thursday 17 July 2008

•    Experience in NZQA framework registration?

At FITEC, we are an innovative and highly respected industry training organisation (ITO).  We work with government and the forestry and wood manufacturing sectors to develop and facilitate the delivery of effective training programmes.

We are growing to meet the needs of our industry and have created a new role to support our Curriculum Development team.  This position provides a great opportunity for someone with experience and qualifications in education or training, to work with industry to ensure the curriculum reflects the vocational learning required in the wood industries.  

Ideally you will have a solid understanding of the NZQA framework, particularly with regard to the process of development and registration of unit standards, national qualifications and assessment.  You’ll have an excellent eye for detail and get things right first time.  You will also need great written and verbal communication skills and work well with a wide range of people.

Quality and Project Manager - ESITO - Hamilton

Reporting to the Industry Standards and Development Manager, in this important position you'll be responsible for managing ESITO's registered Assessors and Moderators to ensure the ITO meets its Quality Assurance obligations and to manage ESITO leadership and research projects. You'll be heavily involved in establishing effective communication with key stakeholders. A large portion of what you do will focus on managing and monitoring a variety of projects and activities that support the achievement of ESITO's leadership function, supporting the development of the annual research plan, and expertly managing projects that often incorporate the use of external contractors.

You must have a solid understanding of assessment and moderation processes and have a good understanding of the NZQA quality assurance practices. It is essential that applicants have a CV that demonstrates previous experience working and engaging with stakeholders as well as managing complex/key projects.

National Moderator - Pharmacy ITO - Wellington

National Qualifications for Pharmacy Assistants & Pharmacy Technicians

 

The Pharmacy Industry Training Organisation (PITO) seeks a National Moderator for pre- and post-moderation of assessments for the National Certificate in Pharmacy (Assistant) and the National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician).

Responsible for overseeing and managing the moderation of assessments carried out by PITO assessors on an ongoing basis, along with the pre- and post-moderation of assessments carried out by four training providers; the National Moderator also manages and runs annual training meetings for PITO assessors and participates in regular meetings with pharmacy training providers. This is a contracted role and would suit someone already working in the ITO arena.
